Interview with the 4 main cast members
Starting at 0:32
Reporter: Is this like a company merit-making ceremony and a launch event?
Faye: Today is the official launch. It’s the blessing ceremony for the series Broken of Love.
Reporter: How do you feel?
Faye: Excited. I couldn’t sleep. My heart feels like it’s about to jump out of my chest.
Reporter: Why is that?
Faye: It’s the first time introducing my new partners, N’Atom, P’Yarinda, and P’Gandhi, the main actors of this series. It’s my first time in this role, so my heart is racing. I even told P’Yarinda that my hands were so cold.
Reporter: You’ve been through blessing ceremonies before. Are you still excited?
Faye: This time is not like the others. It’s…
Yarinda: It’s her own project.
Faye: Yes, because it’s truly our own project. It’s another role for me, so I’m very excited.
Reporter: What did you pray for?
Faye: I prayed for the series to be successful and run smoothly without any obstacles. I also wished for all the cast members to be lucky and successful.
Reporter: How does it feel to debut today as a partner?
Atom: I’m very excited. I even dreamed about this blessing ceremony last night. I told P’Faye this morning that I dreamed about it.
Reporter: Was it like your dream?
(Yarinda laughs.)
Atom: Not really.
Faye: In the dream, it wasn’t this hot.
Atom: Yes, in the dream it wasn’t hot.
Reporter: Are you excited?
Atom: It’s my first blessing ceremony. My heart is about to jump out.
Reporter: What about you, Yarinda?
Yarinda: I’m happy and excited to start filming. The working style of this series is very new to me. It’s my comeback after one year. (laughs) About three or four months ago, my series MOUSE just finished; that one was a serial killer murder genre.
Reporter: What about Gandhi?
Gandhi: I’m very excited. I didn’t expect so many people to attend the blessing ceremony. So many fans came to support us.
Reporter: Faye, tell us about the series.
Faye: This series is very intense. It has many emotional layers. Every character has their own reasons and motivations. There are peak moments, even peaks within peaks.
(A microphone falls off; Faye puts it back on.)
Faye: My character, Alisa or Kitapat, is very determined and goal-oriented. You’ll have to watch to find out why the character has two names. As for Atom, her characters Alin and Laila also have their own reasons. I almost gave away a spoiler!
Reporter: Do you do a lot of high-speed driving?
Faye: I drive myself, and we also use a stunt double.
Reporter: Do you clash with Yarinda?
Faye: Yes. Yarinda: We’re rivals. Reporter: We’ll have to stay tuned.
Gandhi: The script is very engaging.
(Faye points at Gandhi and says, “As for him, will he be a rival too? You’ll have to wait and see.”)
Faye: There will also be other actors who might surprise you.
Reporter: Sounds extraordinary.
Faye: It is extraordinary because we invested a lot in this project. This series is my gift to myself and to the fans. We put our hearts into it and selected professional actors. Please support us, and thank you to the media as well. Filming starts at the end of this month, and it will air at the end of next month.
Reporter: Atom, would you like to say something about the series?
Atom: Please support this series. We’ve put so much effort into it. It’s intense, bold, and full of flavor.
Faye: This year, it will most likely be on Fabel’s official YouTube channel. I think this channel will allow fans to enjoy it fully. Thank you.
Reporter: How many episodes are there?
Faye: Eight episodes.
FayeAtom interview
Reporter: The series is called Broken of Love. Are the actors broken-hearted, too?
Faye: No heartbreak, no heartbreak because the heart is full of love.
(Reporters cheer.)
Reporter: Atom, you’ve officially debuted as a partner. How does it feel?
Atom: I’m very happy. I received such a warm welcome. I’m just… happy. The only word is happy.
Reporter: Do you feel pressured?
Atom: Honestly, no. P’Faye and the whole team have been very supportive. I feel comfortable, and they give great advice. I just asked her for advice because she has so much acting experience.
Reporter: Where did you find this hidden gem?
Faye: From social media. The production team also searched and proposed names. We held three casting rounds, and each round had different candidates. We kept suggesting names back and forth. I saw that Nong had left her previous place due to health issues and had taken a break. I secretly told myself, “We’re not that extreme; maybe we still have a chance.” But so many people were contacting her. I thought we might not get her, most of them were big companies, while we’re just starting and still a small company. Thank you, Nong, for choosing to join us.
Reporter: What made you decide to join Faye?
Atom: I’ve admired P’Faye for a while. I was really happy that she wanted to work with me.
Reporter: What caught your interest? What impressed you?
Atom: P’Faye is beautiful, yes, very beautiful. I’ve seen her acting work and the competitions she joined. I always thought I’d love to work with her. And I’m lucky she chose me. I’m really happy.
Reporter: Where did you go to make a wish for this opportunity?
Atom: Does praying count? I pray every night. F
aye: At first, I talked with Nong. She truly loves acting and wants to pursue it seriously; she even studied it. I prayed that she would choose us, and in the end, she did. Even when we were preparing to officially introduce her, we had to choose an auspicious date for the launch.
Reporter: Which date?
Faye: Let me think… We launched on February 6th. It was a good day because she came at the right time.
Reporter: How is your chemistry together?
Faye: We’ve done several workshops together. It’s good. She’s lovely.
Reporter: Why do you look shy?
Faye: No, I’m not shy. I’m never shy.
Atom: P’Faye usually doesn’t make sense when she talks.
Faye: No! Normally I make perfect sense.
Faye: I wanted someone whose smile lights up the world, someone who matches the character. Because the storyline is intense, I wanted someone with a bright, radiant smile.
Reporter: Some people say you have a preference for fair, cute-looking girls.
Faye: Honestly, I don’t have a specific type. I just look at suitability. She came at the right time.
Reporter: What kind of smile? (Atom smiles at Faye.)
Faye: Yes, that one. That smile.
Reporter: What do the fans say?
Faye: The fans kept wondering when I would finally make it official, saying I have too many secrets. I was waiting for an auspicious day. Today is a very lucky day. The first day we have photos together had to be a good day.
Reporter: How did you prepare?
Atom: Workshops and script reading. I prepared everything.
Reporter: Please say something to promote the series.
Atom: Please support us. If you watch this series, you’ll become rich! May everyone who watches it be prosperous and lucky. We worked very hard on it. It will definitely be fun.
(Reporters laugh.)
Faye: So we all have to watch this series because…
Reporter: We’ll be richhhhhh!
(Faye turns to Atom.)
Faye: You did very well.
Faye: Thank you to all the fans for waiting for us, Thai fans, international fans, for all your support, and for staying by our side. Thank you for welcoming Nong. I’m proud of Fayemily. We’re going to have fun all year long. Let’s stay together like this for a long time.
Faye solo interview
Reporter: Your hair salon has been incredibly successful since it opened. How does it feel?
Faye: Thank you to all the fans. My queue is fully booked, 150 people. Fans have been asking if I can open more slots, and I’m checking the schedule. I might be able to add another 30–50 people, but not more than that, since we’ve already started filming the series. It’s my way of giving happiness back to the fans. Thank you for your support.
Reporter: At 85,000 baht per head, all 150 slots are sold out?
Faye: Yes, they’re all sold out.
Reporter: And you’re opening more slots?
Faye: I probably can’t open as many as in the first round because filming has already begun.
Reporter: So this is your professional rate?
Faye: Yes, this is my artist design rate. It reflects professional expertise. It also includes special items, box sets, hats, shirts, bags, and a Polaroid photo. I keep one photo, and the fan keeps one as a memory.
Reporter: How’s the feedback?
Faye: From what I’ve read, many clients said they used to lack confidence. After the haircut, their friends and family were surprised; they never thought they could pull off that hairstyle, but it turned out great. As a hairstylist, that makes me very happy.
Reporter: Are people asking you to open more slots?
Faye: With the time I have, I can only do this much. I split my time to come to the salon, and I have a great team. We carefully selected quality staff.
Reporter: How many clients can you do per day?
Faye: Four heads per day. Each client gets full care. The VIP room is entirely yours.
Reporter: Why did you name the salon Khanthong?
Faye: Khanthong is my grandmother’s surname. She has passed away. Her name is a reminder and a source of encouragement for me. She guided me onto the right path in life. I’m her only granddaughter and the eldest grandchild. I believe she’s still with me through her teachings; she taught me to stay away from immorality, gambling, and drugs. She’s my inspiration and strength. That’s why I named the salon after her.
Reporter: Did you check your fortune this year? You seem very lucky.
Faye: I didn’t check at all.
Reporter: You believe in yourself.
Faye: Maybe it’s because I take good care of my family. I don’t speak badly about anyone.
Reporter: Do you want to start any other businesses?
Faye: Right now, I’d like to open a café. I already do so many things, Fabel, MillionsMax, Khanthong. If I open a café too, I probably won’t get any sleep.
Reporter: Do you have a location in mind?
Faye: Not yet. It’s just a plan for now.
Reporter: Khanthong Café?
Faye: That sounds interesting.
Reporter: Are there still people bothering you?
Faye: If they’re my fans, they respect artists. I understand the love fans have for me. When we set boundaries or make announcements, they respect that. Since I’ve already announced it, there haven’t been any issues. I feel at ease now.
Reporter: Do you need to be cautious?
Faye: There are security guards at the salon. There’s no problem.
Reporter: Let’s look forward to the series then.
Faye: Please support this series. We put so much effort into it. Please give an opportunity to a new producer and a small company trying to create a quality series. Thank you to the fans and to all the media for your support.
