Most people know me as someone with a bright smile. Right now, I’m a full-time actress under Fabel Entertainment. I’m also here with my partner, P’Faye Peeraya, whom everyone loves… including me.
Which do you prefer, Atom or Tuam?
I like every nickname people give me. I really can’t choose; it depends on the situation.
“Atom” is the name my parents gave me, so of course I love it. I’ve had it since I was born.
As for “Tuam”… honestly, I don’t even know where it came from because P’Faye was the one who created it. One day, she suddenly told everyone, “I’m going to call Nong ‘Tuam’ from now on.” So… I became Tuam!
Then the fans started calling me “Tuam.” Eventually, “Atom” somehow turned into “Atuam,” then “Atuam” became “Atuam/Tuam.” It’s really cute.
The full version is actually “Tuam Tuam,” which is what P’Faye likes to call me.
Q: People always talk about your smile.
Atom: I’ve always loved smiling. To me, a smile is something positive, and I want to pass that positivity on to everyone.
Maybe someone is having a really bad day. If I smile at them, even if it’s just a little, maybe it can help heal their heart. That’s why I want to smile as much as I can.
Q: Can you give us a smile?
(Atom smiles.)
Atom: Now they’ll probably be suffering even more! (laughs)
What kind of things make me feel sad?
Sometimes I really want everything to be perfect, so I put too much pressure on myself.
There was a time when I worked incredibly hard and expected so much from myself, but the result didn’t turn out the way I’d hoped. I was really disappointed and kept replaying it over and over in my mind.
Eventually, I reached a point where I didn’t want to keep putting myself under that kind of pressure anymore.
At first it was difficult to let go, but little by little I got used to it. Surprisingly, once I stopped pressuring myself so much, my work actually became much better than I expected.
I realized that constantly pushing myself isn’t always the answer. As long as I’ve done my best, that’s enough, and I’m proud of myself.
How would I describe myself?
I’m the kind of person who’s easygoing about everything.
I’ll eat anything, go anywhere, and do almost anything. I’m really laid-back.
I don’t like following strict plans. I prefer following my feelings.
Q: We’d love to hear you sing.
Atom: Then I’ll sing one of my own songs, the soundtrack from Broken (of) Love, “Would You Be Mine.”
(Atom sings.)
Atom: I think I accidentally raised the key! (laughs)
Q: Is P’Faye your type?
Atom: I don’t really have a fixed type. If I like someone, then I like them.
But personality-wise, I like kind people.
Someone who’s easy to be around, someone who makes me feel comfortable. Someone who can make even the biggest problems feel small.
I’d also like someone who’s more mature than I am. If I were the one leading everything… it might end in disaster. (laughs)
So I need someone who can guide me too.
But above all, I like kind people.
Q: So… overall, is P’Faye your type?
Atom: (laughs) I’m not going to continue on that.
You asked what my type is, and I already gave you a general answer. I don’t have a fixed type.
There are so many roles I’d love to play. In Broken (of) Love, I played someone who was incredibly kind.
Next, I’d love to play a villain.
And I’d also love to do a romantic comedy. I think it’s the kind of genre that’s easy for people to enjoy. It makes everyone feel refreshed and relaxed.
If I were acting in one, I’d probably be relaxed too… although I’d probably need a lot of takes because I’d keep laughing at myself!
Am I funny? I don’t know.
I think if I were doing comedy, the important thing would be trying not to laugh myself.
Q: Are you a funny person, or do you like funny people?
Atom: Is that a leading question? (laughs)
I love being around people who are funny, people who make me laugh and create a joyful atmosphere.
When I’m with my fans, they’re always making me laugh. I read all the memes they send me, and I enjoy reading everything they chat about.
When I have free time, I just sleep, eat, watch movies, listen to music, and live a simple life.
My favorite place to go is the beach.
I love watching the sunset. I love the smell of the sea and the sound of the waves.
When I’m at the beach, I feel completely like myself.
Maybe… I was a mermaid in another life. I’m just rambling now. (laughs)
