Designing Love Through Emotion: Faye on the Intimacy of Broken Love

Faye: The love scenes I designed were created based on the emotional atmosphere and feelings of the characters.

I didn’t want it to feel like the focus had to be on revealing bodies. On those filming days, we carefully protected and respected everything. We relied on camera angles and emotions instead, focusing on how Arisa longed for love, and how she responded to love.

That’s why the scenes were filled with nothing but passion and affection, feelings that could represent love, fascination, obsession, and deep desire all at once.

We wanted the emotions to feel very clear, if everyone noticed closely.

The love scene in the last episode was very different from Episode 5.
Because in the last episode, the love scene came after the characters had already gone through happiness and many experiences together. At that point, there was only each other.

But Episode 5 was driven more by passion, longing, attraction, and the desire both characters had for one another.

And one more thing…

When portraying women beautifully on screen, women naturally have elegance and curves, beautiful shoulders, beautiful body lines, even the way they position themselves.

Because every woman already has her own sex appeal.

So I wanted to bring out that femininity and let the fans see the beauty of women, the beauty in their expressions, the curves, the shoulders, the gracefulness of a woman…

What feminine beauty looked like, in the most beautiful way, through our eyes in that moment.
