Faye’s Belly Button Protection Act for Atom

Voice: Why aren’t you allowing her to wear crop tops?

Faye: I’m not forbidding crop tops, let me clear that up first. But it’s part of Nong’s image.
Nong is going to enter the fashion industry, so later on she won’t have to delete or hide old photos, understand?

Thailand’s sunlight is very strong. Her waist and stomach area would get too much sun exposure. Even sunscreen might not be enough.

Faye: Getting sun on your skin is one thing, but what if the sunlight hits her belly button? (laughs)
See? These are long-term effects.

Voice: You’ve been talking for so long, what’s the real meaning here?

Faye: Translate this for the international fans, too.

Voice: Give us the short version.

Faye: No. If she wears crop tops too often, Thailand’s sun is very strong. Even indoors… Atom gets cold easily. If she gets cold, her skin gets dry, and then her skin starts peeling.

Voice: And then what?

Faye: Well, if she gets cold, her skin dries out and peels. And if she goes outside afterward, what if her belly button gets marks on it? That wouldn’t be okay.

Voice: People are saying you’re possessive.

Faye: No, I’m not possessive. I’m concerned.

Voice: You keep changing the story — first it’s too hot, then it’s too cold. So which is it, Phi?

Faye: Malls are cold, okay?
And if it gets too cold, the skin peels.

Voice: Nong doesn’t even like going to malls.

Faye: See? Nong likes being out in the sun.

Voice: Are you someone who gets cold easily?

Faye: I have jackets. (holds up a jacket)

Voice: So many explanations. Somebody help us here.

Faye: Sometimes it’s too cold, sometimes it’s too hot. If she gets cold, her skin peels. Lotion can help with that. But if she goes outside and her belly button gets exposed to the sun, then what?

Voice: Atom has jackets, too.

Faye: Jackets only cover the sides. What about the belly button getting hit by sunlight?

Voice: But you still wear sleeveless tops.

Faye: Only my arms get exposed to the sun.
I use lotion.
Nong doesn’t like putting on lotion.

Voice: How do you know she doesn’t like lotion?

Faye: Because I’ve seen her dry skin peeling before, so I know already.

Faye: Atom has such a cute face. How can her belly button be peeling? We have to protect the artist’s image.

Faye speaks in English: “We are currently discussing the Belly Button Protection Act.” (laughs)
What if her belly button gets marks? Thailand is a tropical country. UV rays can damage the skin.

I’m done talking now. I’m leaving.
See you in Macau.

Voice: New knowledge unlocked — belly buttons can’t handle sunlight.

Faye: How can Nong walk around wearing crop tops and let her belly button get hit by sunlight and UV rays? It has to stay covered.

I’m not talking anymore.
I’m leaving now, bye-bye. We’re just going in circles at this point. Bye.
