Sonya: We went to eat dinner near Lumphini Park and sat talking for a long time. By the time we finished eating, it was almost 9 PM.
We walked through Lumphini Park toward the Green Bridge walkway. It was a newer path, and I remembered that we wouldn’t have to walk along the dark streets if we used this route instead.
When we started walking up the bridge, it was very dark. We turned on a flashlight, though there were still a few dim lights along the way, enough to keep walking. So we just kept going.
Along the way, we passed a foreign couple, a man and a woman, but nothing unusual happened. Then suddenly Atom said, “Who’s that?”
I got startled because I thought she was talking to someone, but actually, she was just continuing our conversation. She wasn’t reacting to a person at all. The timing just happened to scare me.
Nothing happened at that point. Near the end of the Green Bridge, before entering Benjakitti Park, we saw a short-haired woman standing upright in a narrow, unfinished section of the walkway. There were even piles of sand there. She stared at us for a while, but we didn’t stop walking.
I noticed she had a dog with her, so I thought, “Okay, it probably isn’t anything supernatural if she has a dog with her.”
When we reached Benjakitti Park, it was around 9:45 PM. We were going to walk across another bridge toward Sukhumvit Road.
A security guard warned us that we might get lost inside the park and suggested we walk along the Green Bridge instead.
I asked, “It’s not deserted, right?”
He replied, “No, it’s not dark. It’s very well lit.”
At first, it really wasn’t that dark. Then halfway through, there was a road. If we followed the road, we would end up near Nana intersection. But if we kept going straight, we would continue along the park.
That’s when I started getting goosebumps. It felt scary.
I had never felt anything like this before in my life.
As we kept walking, the beginning of the next section looked brighter than before. But the road curved, and after the turn it became a long straight path. Once we turned into that straight section, there was only a tiny bit of light in one area. Beyond that, it was completely pitch black. Extremely dark. I got chills. We couldn’t see anything. The only visible lights were far away at the very end of the path.
We kept walking deeper into the darkness.
Then suddenly, I saw—or at least felt like I saw—something tall, about the height of a person, completely white from top to bottom. It looked still… but not completely still.
I turned to Atom and said,
“It’s actually really dark. Should we walk over there instead? There might be more people there. Even if it’s not ideal, it’s still better than this.”
Atom looked at me and simply said, “Okay.”
The moment we turned around, both of us started walking faster without even discussing it.
When we finally reached an area with more people, I asked Atom,
“Did you feel something strange too? Did you see the same thing I did?”
Atom replied,
“I felt something strange too… on the canal side, right?”
It was the exact same side where I had seen it.
Then Atom asked,
“It was white, right?”
I said,
“Maybe it was just a pole… but I really got goosebumps. It felt terrifying.”
Atom then said she had already started feeling uneasy since seeing the short-haired woman near the bridge entrance earlier.
She said she felt like it was the same person that we…
God, I got chills again.
Do I need to chant a prayer or something? Maybe a loving-kindness prayer?
What prayer should I recite?

I have never felt anything like this in my entire life. Even when staying at hotels where I felt strange vibes before, it was never this intense…
Maybe I was just imagining things.
