From Film School to the Entertainment Industry: Atom Talks Graduation and What’s Next

Atom: Thank you, thank you.

Reporter: What faculty did you graduate from?

Atom: I graduated from the College of Social Communication Innovation, majoring in Acting and Directing for Cinema.

Reporter: How are you feeling right now?

Atom: I’m really happy. I’ve been here for four years and made so many memories. And now I’ve finally graduated. It’s a huge step in my life, and I’m really proud of myself.

Reporter: Was it difficult balancing studies and work at the same time?

Atom: Yes, it was difficult. I had work responsibilities and studies at the same time, so I had to manage everything well. It was hard.

Reporter: Did you ever feel discouraged?

Atom: Of course. That’s normal because I wanted both things to go well. Sometimes I felt discouraged because it was exhausting. During our debut period, I was also working on my thesis, preparing to graduate, filming on set, and doing activities with friends, too. It was difficult.

Reporter: Who gave you encouragement?

Atom: My parents were very important. My university friends, too. And VIIS as well, because four of us study here at Srinakharinwirot University. We talk to each other and understand each other.

Reporter: Do you share experiences or ask each other for advice?

Atom: Most of the time, I ask P’Plaifah for advice because she’s my senior. Like what to do on set or how to prepare. Sonya is the youngest, so she usually asks me and P’Plaifah.

Reporter: Now that you’ve graduated, what will you do next?

Atom: Oh… I’m going to fully focus on work now.

Reporter: Will you continue straight to a master’s degree?

Atom: Right now, work comes first. I want to work. You can hire me.

Reporter: Have you been able to use what you studied?

Atom: I studied directly in the entertainment field. Most of it focused on behind-the-scenes work, so we learned how production works backstage. But we also studied performance and acting, too. I can apply it to filming MVs and acting.

Reporter: Can you share more about what you studied?

Atom: Our faculty has three majors: Production, Design, and Performance. Mine was Performance, focused on cinema. We studied behind-the-scenes production and even how to become an acting coach—so I can coach myself and also help guide my friends.

Reporter: What would you like to say to younger students?

Atom: I want to tell everyone who’s about to enter university that everyone has different dreams. I want to encourage everyone in whatever dream they have. Keep fighting!

Reporter: Do you have plans to go somewhere with VIIS?

Atom: After the graduation event, I’m going to meet the VIIS members and take photos together. I miss everyone.

Reporter: You’re also having a fan gathering, right?

Atom: Yes, I’m meeting fans too.

Reporter: Together with your birthday celebration?

Atom: My birthday and graduation are in the same month and close together, so I decided to combine them.

Reporter: Do you plan to buy yourself a birthday gift?

Atom: I should save money first.

Reporter: What would you like to buy for yourself?

Atom: I haven’t really thought about it yet. I’ll save money first and wait until I find something I truly want. Right now, there’s nothing I really want yet.

Reporter: VIIS is growing a lot. What plans do you have for next year?

Atom: Personally, I want to focus on work. I want to do more music projects so people can continue watching us. My main focus is work.

Reporter: What is VIIS’s dream?

Atom: I think everyone in VIIS dreams of having our own concert someday.

Reporter: Then there must be more songs coming soon, right?

Atom: Please keep following us. We’re trying our best to improve our work as much as possible.

Reporter: There are so many fans here today.

Atom: Thank you so much to all the fans. Everyone knows the Asoke area has terrible traffic, but they still came through it all just to see me. Everyone really put in effort to come here. Thank you for supporting me and VIIS. Please continue cheering for us for a long time.

Atom: Thank you.
