Reporter: On September 9, your new series was officially announced.
Faye: Yes. This is a series that we’ve been preparing for quite some time, and we’ve put a lot of thought into it. It will be our first romantic comedy.
Love in the Fast Lane is originally a very short novel, so I bought the rights to it myself. We then talked with the author about expanding the story and making it more complete, including developing the relationships between the characters further.
So, in a way, we have to build and write a lot more around the original story. It’s definitely going to be more intense, exciting, and fun.
Reporter: So the story will be adapted and expanded from the original?
Faye: Yes. Since the original novel is quite short, we want the fans to have a full and satisfying experience watching the series. So we’ve been discussing it with both the original author and the screenwriter to develop it into a complete series. You’ll get a little bit of everything.
Reporter: So this one won’t be a drama?
Atom: It won’t be as dramatic. Our previous series was quite heavy, so this time we want the fans to see another side of us—something cute, bright, and cheerful.
Reporter: How do you feel about this series?
Atom: I’m really excited! I’ve also been taking additional acting classes because I want to do my best and help make the series as good as possible.
Reporter: Your character is into sai mu—spiritual beliefs, lucky charms, fortune-telling, and things like that, right?
Faye: Atom’s character is the sai mu one. But for my character, whenever the two of us meet, neither of us backs down. We’re both sharp-tongued and always ready to talk back. We dislike each other from the moment we meet.
Atom: We fight whenever we see each other… and then eventually, we fall in love. (laughs)
Faye: This will be the first comedy series that the two of us have starred in together. We really want the fans to get the full experience with a little bit of everything.
I bought the novel and acquired the rights myself so that we could fully expand the story. And yes, there’ll be plenty of characters who come along to stir up some jealousy too. You’ll definitely get all the flavors!
Reporter: Have you started casting yet?
Faye: There will be other actors joining the cast. We’ll start filming next year.
It’s getting closer now, so I’m excited! Please stay tuned. We’re putting a lot of effort into this, especially since it’s our first comedy series together.
Reporter: What else do you have coming up?
Faye: We also have our birthday parties. Atom’s will be on October 23, and mine will be on October 24.
Reporter: Will you take turns appearing as guests at each other’s birthday parties?
Faye: I’m not telling! I’m not telling!
Atom: You’ll have to wait and see.
Faye: Although by saying I’m not telling you, I’ve basically already told you. (laughs)
